So Kyle and I went to Nauvoo with a Alex and Jon, friends/team members. It was super fun! We got to see the temple, go to a session, watch the Pageant, and experience Nauvoo! The temple is beautiful inside and out!

The Pageant was pretty cool! The Temple is dark during the entire performance until the end when it is lit up! I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful church!

Before the Pageant they had all these games and fun things to do... Here are some :)

There was the Wagon pull:

and some dancing... which I didn't get pictures of...
and some stilts and stick pull and many other fun things!
We also got to tour Old Nauvoo! My 2 favorite things were the Trail of Hope, which were recorded memories from the Saints as they departed Nauvoo and their beautiful new Temple. It starts at Parley street and ends at the Mississippi.

and my second favorite thing in Nauvoo was the brick house. Brick making was a huge ordeal!! It took weeks to get one brick! It had to be cut from the clay fields and mixed with sand to make a sturdy material that was molded for a week needing to be rotated once a day everyday. Then heated for a week at low temperature to be heated for a week at high temperature. What a job! I would not want to be the brick turner...

The next day we were there, we went to Carthage and did the tour of the last few days of our beloved Prophet Joseph Smith. It was a wonderful experience! Here is the window he fell from, the top one.

Nauvoo was a great experience I think everyone should get the chance to see for them selves!

The summer is coming to end! 3 more weeks til we are headed back! Going to see the new Batman movie tonight! Oh ya!!

Wow, it has been a few crazy weeks! I can't believe the summer is coming to an end soon, feels like we just got here. Kyle has been doing very well selling. I'm so proud of his hard work and dedication! I love him so much!

We had our 6th month Anniversary!! June 29! I love Kyle so much!! We spent the whole day at 6 Flags! It was so fun! It was 105 degrees but worth it! It was so hot no one else wanted to go and there were no lines!

Cherene and Kendra came to visit the Fam here in St. Louis! It was so fun! While they were here we went to Chuckie Cheese to celebrate Max's late birthday. It was a blast! Love you guys lots!

Not too many new things have happened since my last post. We had the 4th of July, which was interesting. Because we had a 10 day streak of over 100 degree weather right before the 4th, the St. Louis Metro Area and those surrounding it banned the use of private fireworks. I must say I was thoroughly disappointed. Even the cities themselves cancelled the fireworks put on by the city.  That meant lots of people would be attending the show at the Arch, one of the few that were still held. There were hundreds of people there! We  could barely wade through the sea of people! Kyle had a great time sitting on the steps behind the Arch watching the firework show over the Mississippi. We got some cool pictures.

Max and I have been enjoying our summer together although some days are better enjoyed then others. We have fun swimming, baking, going to karate, playing the Wii, painting various projects, squirt gun fighting, wrestling, light sabering,  playing cards, slip n sliding, and many other things. He definitely keeps me busy!  Can't wait to have one my own! Here's some cookies we made for the team

Even though it's been super fun in St. Louis I can't deny my home sickness is kicking into gear. I miss my sisters and brothers and nieces and nephews!! I miss my parents, and especially my Grandma. Kyle doesn't seem to have the same issues as me when it comes to missing family, but that's ok because I have enough missing for the both of us.

School is coming up fast!! I can't believe I only have 1 year left til I graduate! I'm so very excited to be done so Kyle and I can start a family :) Kyle doesn't quite share the same excitement as I do, but that too is ok. I'm also happy I have 1 more semester of buying books that I rarely use and paying tuition that never stops increasing.

Anyways, we are enjoying this time in our lives and are excited for the time to come!!
