The Time has Almost Come

Holy cow!! This summer has gone by sooo fast!! Only 9 more days until Kyle and I go back to Idaho!! We can hardly wait... or maybe that's just me :) Kyle is doing awesome!! I love him so much!! He is working so hard to hit his goals and he is so close we can smell it!!

The past few weeks have been awesome!! I made lots of new friends with the wives and people in the ward! I had my last Faith in God class Tuesday and am sad to leave all the boys and Letty. Chalise left this morning and I miss her already!! We have become such great friends. Atleast Lexi will be here next week so we can do all the things we have wanted to do since we got here but haven't been able to. It will be soo fun! September's final meeting for this year will be awesome!!

Max and I went to 6 Flags with the other couzies last week. We met some other friends too!!

Bugs and Tweety Bird!! Gotta love those good ol'cartoons!!

Kyle and I went with the team to the City Museum. It was super fun! Don't have any pictures to prove it so you'lll just have to take my word on it. We saw a magic show and sculpted clay while we were there too! That same night we got to experience the famous Missouri Ted Drewes Frozen Custard. YUM!! We definitely need to go back before we leave!

We are so excited to see you all soon!!

Kyle and I went on a ferry boat ride last Saturday on the Missippi. It was pretty cool. We rode on the Tom Sawyer! I didn't get any real good picutres of the boat itself because we got tickets right before it left and then had to rush off to meet the team but here is what I have

It was a pretty fun experience and I believe now, that I have pretty strong sea legs :) Which might come in handy in January :) The summer is coming to an end with only 23 days left before we head back to Pocatello to start school the day after we arrive. Kyle is so close to meeting his goal! I love him so much and I know he can do it!
We are excited to see everybody soon!! Much Love!!

So Kyle and I went to Nauvoo with a Alex and Jon, friends/team members. It was super fun! We got to see the temple, go to a session, watch the Pageant, and experience Nauvoo! The temple is beautiful inside and out!

The Pageant was pretty cool! The Temple is dark during the entire performance until the end when it is lit up! I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful church!

Before the Pageant they had all these games and fun things to do... Here are some :)

There was the Wagon pull:

and some dancing... which I didn't get pictures of...
and some stilts and stick pull and many other fun things!
We also got to tour Old Nauvoo! My 2 favorite things were the Trail of Hope, which were recorded memories from the Saints as they departed Nauvoo and their beautiful new Temple. It starts at Parley street and ends at the Mississippi.

and my second favorite thing in Nauvoo was the brick house. Brick making was a huge ordeal!! It took weeks to get one brick! It had to be cut from the clay fields and mixed with sand to make a sturdy material that was molded for a week needing to be rotated once a day everyday. Then heated for a week at low temperature to be heated for a week at high temperature. What a job! I would not want to be the brick turner...

The next day we were there, we went to Carthage and did the tour of the last few days of our beloved Prophet Joseph Smith. It was a wonderful experience! Here is the window he fell from, the top one.

Nauvoo was a great experience I think everyone should get the chance to see for them selves!

The summer is coming to end! 3 more weeks til we are headed back! Going to see the new Batman movie tonight! Oh ya!!

Wow, it has been a few crazy weeks! I can't believe the summer is coming to an end soon, feels like we just got here. Kyle has been doing very well selling. I'm so proud of his hard work and dedication! I love him so much!

We had our 6th month Anniversary!! June 29! I love Kyle so much!! We spent the whole day at 6 Flags! It was so fun! It was 105 degrees but worth it! It was so hot no one else wanted to go and there were no lines!

Cherene and Kendra came to visit the Fam here in St. Louis! It was so fun! While they were here we went to Chuckie Cheese to celebrate Max's late birthday. It was a blast! Love you guys lots!

Not too many new things have happened since my last post. We had the 4th of July, which was interesting. Because we had a 10 day streak of over 100 degree weather right before the 4th, the St. Louis Metro Area and those surrounding it banned the use of private fireworks. I must say I was thoroughly disappointed. Even the cities themselves cancelled the fireworks put on by the city.  That meant lots of people would be attending the show at the Arch, one of the few that were still held. There were hundreds of people there! We  could barely wade through the sea of people! Kyle had a great time sitting on the steps behind the Arch watching the firework show over the Mississippi. We got some cool pictures.

Max and I have been enjoying our summer together although some days are better enjoyed then others. We have fun swimming, baking, going to karate, playing the Wii, painting various projects, squirt gun fighting, wrestling, light sabering,  playing cards, slip n sliding, and many other things. He definitely keeps me busy!  Can't wait to have one my own! Here's some cookies we made for the team

Even though it's been super fun in St. Louis I can't deny my home sickness is kicking into gear. I miss my sisters and brothers and nieces and nephews!! I miss my parents, and especially my Grandma. Kyle doesn't seem to have the same issues as me when it comes to missing family, but that's ok because I have enough missing for the both of us.

School is coming up fast!! I can't believe I only have 1 year left til I graduate! I'm so very excited to be done so Kyle and I can start a family :) Kyle doesn't quite share the same excitement as I do, but that too is ok. I'm also happy I have 1 more semester of buying books that I rarely use and paying tuition that never stops increasing.

Anyways, we are enjoying this time in our lives and are excited for the time to come!!

So the last few weeks went by fast!! Kyle's Birthday was the 17th and it was super fun! We went to the Cheesecake Factory with the team on the 16th and celebrated Kyle and Brenden's Birthdays, then Sunday we had a family party. German chocolate cake was yummy!! Kyle got a fishing pole from me and a few other packages from family, Thanks!!

Kyle and I both gave talks in church, scary! Teaching the CTR 8&9 has been fun! The kids are so smart and silly it makes class wonderful! The ward is awesome and so welcoming. I got another calling to be a temple attender. Probably the best calling ever. I am called to attend the temple once a week for as long as I can. Starting that one tomorrow :)

While Kyle has been out selling, I have made friends with a few of the other wifes, Chalise and Lexi, both wonderful! We have fun girls days on my day off and swim parties at the pool on other days. They introduced me to a book called Unbroken. Probably the most intense read I have experienced yet. It's the story of a WWII veteran, true story! It is crazy and I definitley reccommend reading it if you get the chance!

We went cliff jumping Saturday down in Meramec State Park. The river was perfect temperature and the cliff wasn't too high. Probably about 15 to 20 feet, thankfully, since the water was only 7-8 feet deep. Lexi found a spider that is the size of the base of a gatorade bottle, no joke! It is huge!! A few floaters down the river helped us catch it and now it is a pet... yuck!

Our 6th month anniversary is coming up on Friday and Kyle decided to take the day off from work to explore St. Louis with me, I believe 6 flags is in the mix. What a wonderful hubby!!

Allison and Ken are moving back to Idaho!! WAHOO!! I'm so excited for that!! Miss them so much!! The fam will finally be back together!!

That's all for now! Until next time!!

Last week was fun and exciting! Max and I went with Aunt Sebra and cousins Dezon, Myles, and Selena to the City Museum! It was so fun!! For those who don't know, it's an old building in downtown St. Louis that has been reconstructed into the ultimate play zone! They have taken scrap pieces of all sorts and shaped into hundreds of tunnels and slides! Floors are interconnected it is crazy! Part of it is outside and part inside. The outside part has 2 old airplanes and a bus that hangs over the roof, it's pretty amazing!! Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures, I only got one. If I can get some from Sebra I will load some! There was also yummy hot wings and lots of swimming last week. The Alterra company BBQ was fun, we swam in the river and burried Keith  in the sand. I had a baby leech on my leg and it was yucky!! It's raining today so not much playing will be done but cinnamon rolls are definitely on the schedule! Here are some pictures from some of our adventures so far!

So these were taken on our first visit to the Arch.

These were Max's favorite attractions at the zoo :)

Kyle and I at the Cardinal's game

All of these were taken on our second visit to the Arch when we went to the tip top!

This is me in one of those airplanes I was talking about at the City Museum.

Welcome to our new Gagnon Family Blog!! I'm excited to start sharing our adventures as Kyle and I begin our new life together!

We are having a great time in St. Louis! While Kyle is out selling, I'm partying with Max, our 5 year old cousin! We have been to the zoo which is so big it makes me feel like I'm in a theme park and the Science Center. We spend lots of time at the pool and have a few days a week with the other cousins Dezon, Myles, and Selena. Kyle and I have been able to go to the top of the Gateway Arch. It was so cool!! As soon as I can figure out how to get my pictures from my phone onto my computer I will put some up! We also went to a Cardinal's baseball game. It was also pretty cool. The game wasn't too exciting but the stadium was awesome! Hopefully as the summer continues there will be a lot more to tell!
